bloom greens vs clean simple eats greens

Recently I covered the best tasting greens powders and both Bloom Greens and Clean Simple Eats Greens were easily two of the best on my list.

Because they have legitimate flavors when it comes to greens powder supplements.

Most greens powder brands have just the original flavor, which usually tastes horrible (leafy greens mixed with other yucky ingredients).

Both Clean Simple Eats and Bloom Greens are innovating by making greens powders taste better!

But, what makes Clean Simple Eats Greens and Bloom Greens different? What's similar? What are the pros and cons of each? And, which greens powder is better?

I'll answer these questions, using my expertise of covering health supplements like greens powders for over 5 years, plus my experience as a nutritionist.

Let's start with The Hot Takes!

The Hot Takes of Bloom Greens vs. Clean Simple Eats Greens

  • Bloom Greens contains seven different blends of ingredients, including different whole foods, superfoods, probiotics, fiber, adaptogens and digestive enzymes. The brand claims these ingredients can benefit gut health, immune health and energy levels.
  • Bloom makes a lot of claims about their greens product, but it lacks proven results as well as clinical research.
  • The amount of each ingredient that’s included in Bloom Greens isn’t listed; rather, the brand just lists how much of each proprietary blend is in each serving. The amounts included for each ingredient may be negligible.
  • Clean Simple Eats Greens are made with very high-quality and clean ingredients.
  • You can only purchase Clean Simple Eats Greens from the company’s website.
  • The Clean Simple Eats brand sells a number of products in addition to their green supplements, with everything designed to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle, manage your weight, boost GI health, etc. However, it can get expensive due to their high price points.

Clean Simple Eats Greens at a Glance

clean simple eats greens powder

Created as a wellness and nutrition brand by founders Erika and JJ, Clean Simple Eats offers a large selection of products that are designed to help you eat well and maintain optimal health. It was actually created as a company that would offer delicious and nutritious macro-friendly products with a very specific amount of carbohydrates, fats and protein in each serving. They now offer everything from protein powder to hydration products. We’re specifically looking at their super greens mixes.

Clean Simple Eats claims that their Super Greens Mix is unique compared to similar products from other companies. They ethically source their ingredients in an organic manner while using a cold-processing method to maintain the integrity of each nutrient. After taking a look at the ingredient list for these powders, there really isn’t anything artificial added. There are no fillers or preservatives to worry about. This not only results in a product that tastes good, but you should also feel good about what you’re putting into your body when you consume Clean Simple Eats Greens.

Some of the key ingredients include spirulina, aloe, broccoli, kale, oat grass, beet root, ginger and more. The formulation is pretty impressive. There’s a lot included, but the only concern is that there aren’t specific amounts listed for each ingredient. Other than reading about how much of each blend is included (superfood blend and prebiotic blend), you don’t know if you’re actually getting a substantial amount of a certain ingredient. This leads us to believe you may not reap the full benefits of each inclusion.

Clean Simple Eats claims that their green powders are designed to help you stimulate a natural detoxification process. It can clear out the GI tract, removing any toxins that have built up over time. It can also support cleansing internal organs like the liver and kidneys. By providing this support to the body, Clean Simple Eats says regular use of their greens can help boost immune function, protect your body from free radicals at a cellular level and help your body convert food into more energy. We believe that this product has the potential to provide these benefits. After all, green fruits and vegetables, in addition to the other ingredients added, can increase your intake of beneficial fiber, micronutrients, phyto-nutrients and more.

  • There are five different flavors of Clean Simple Eats Greens available, and they are all reviewed as being really delicious.
  • Made from all-natural ingredients that have the potential to fill in nutritional gaps, support immune function, increase energy and detoxify the body.
  • Included ingredients have the potential to reduce inflammation, balance pH levels and improve overall gut health. Results will typically vary from person to person.
  • All of the ingredients included in Clean Simple Eats Greens are ethically and organically sourced.
  • Cold processing protects the nutritional profile of all the ingredients included.

  • Prices are on the high side compared to other greens products.
  • Contains non-organic natural flavors.
  • There are quite a few ingredients in Clean Simple Eats Greens, but it’s not the most versatile formulation we’ve seen.

Bloom Greens at a Glance

bloom nutrition greens powder

The Bloom brand was created just a few years ago (in 2019) by husband-and-wife duo Mari Llewellyn and Greg LaVecchia. The idea came from Llewellyn, who felt there was a need for a high-quality health supplement brand that used only the best ingredients possible. While they have a few different products, like collagen peptides and pre-workouts, their greens supplement is their most popular. It actually went viral on TikTok and other social media platforms. The nice thing about Bloom is that you can buy their items not only online but also in retail stores like Target.

Bloom Greens and Superfoods are made using over 30 different ingredients that include things like nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables, probiotics, prebiotics, adaptogens and digestive enzymes. Bloom claims this product can be used regularly to support your GI health, increase energy and even reduce bloating. Barley grass, wheat grass and spirulina are part of the superfood blend. Studies have shown the potent ability of these ingredients to boost the body’s natural immune response. Digestive enzymes and probiotics can improve gut health, immune response and even improve your mood. It’s recommended that you take one scoop of powder per serving (5.05 grams), with one to two servings taken each day. The product is to be mixed into 8 to 12 ounces of water or drink using a frother or mixer.

  • Five different flavor options are offered, including coconut, original, mango, citrus and berry.
  • All of the Bloom products are made in a certified facility with good manufacturing practices facility.
  • While the individual ingredients may not be included in amounts high enough to see substantial results, the combination of ingredients in this formula has the potential to provide a number of benefits.
  • Free of gluten, dairy and soy.
  • Contains both prebiotics and probiotics for gut health.
  • Does not contain any added refined sugars.

  • Unfortunately, Blooms doesn’t use third-party testing to check the integrity and safety of their products.
  • Stevia is used as a sweetener in these powders.
  • You can’t see the individual amounts included for each ingredient in each blend.
  • The product is a little hard to blend. You may need a frother or mixer to really get a smooth consistency in whatever liquid you’re using.

More often than not, positive reviews are expressed because of the relationship between the influencer and the brand.

Bloom Greens has a 4.8-star rating out of five stars on the Bloom website. There are over 4,800 reviews listed, and 96 percent of customers would recommend this product to someone else. People have used it to increase their nutritional intake, increase their energy levels, boost their mood, balance their gut health and gain a better overall sense of wellness.

Main Differences Between Clean Simple Eats Greens and Bloom Greens

When we compare Clean Simple Eats Greens and Bloom Greens, it’s obvious that the formulations are rather different. We like what’s included in Bloom’s product. The seven different blends provide a lot of potential benefits that take whole-body health into account.

Doing a bit of research on our own, we determined that Clean Simple Eats Greens has potential with the ingredients that they have included however, we’d like to see a better breakdown on the brand’s website that explains why each ingredient was chosen for their product. There are key superfoods included in Clean Simple Eats. There is a lot of evidence that supports the use of things like chlorella, apple, orange, beet root and aloe vera for overall health and wellness.

Bloom incorporates adaptogens into their greens product. Ashwagandha, astragalus powder and eleuthero powder are part of the 100-mg adaptogenic blend, which, according to studies on these ingredients, offers the potential benefits of improving your mood, balancing hormone levels, increasing energy levels and boosting the body’s natural immune response.

Which is Better: Bloom Greens or Clean Simple Eats Greens?

Both Bloom and Clean Simple Eats use high-quality, organic ingredients that provide access to a lot of nutrients and potential benefits. Both products are designed to be used the same way, with regular use increasing your nutritional intake.

If we had to pick a product, Clean Simple Eats seems like a beneficial option if you’re looking to increase the amount of nutrients that you’re consuming without overdoing it. There is a prebiotic blend included in CSE’s Greens, but this simply feeds the beneficial bacteria that’s already in your gut. You can source your probiotics elsewhere by simply using this product to supplement more fruits and vegetables in your diet.
