D-Mannose + Cranberry by Happy V

I tried Happy V D-Mannose + Cranberry to prevent UTIs after my experience with Happy V vaginal probiotic. Did it work? Stick around and find out!

The symptoms of a urinary tract infection are uncomfortable, to say the least. The need to head to the bathroom more often, feeling like you’re not fully emptying your bladder and just generally feeling like you’re unwell can really slow you down.

Some women are at a higher risk of developing a UTI because of an imbalance in their vaginal flora, problems with the urinary tract or sexual activity. While I never used to get urinary tract infections when I was younger, this is something I’ve experienced more of since entering my 40s.

An antibiotic is a doctor’s go-to treatment for a urinary tract infection, which can really cause a lot of problems for your gut. Also, doctors don’t really provide any support that helps prevent these infections from occurring in the first place. This is what led me to search for a natural product that would help me support my urinary tract health without unwanted side effects. I came across Happy V D-Mannose + Cranberry, which claims it can reduce the occurrence of UTI’s as well as improve your urinary tract health.

What Is Happy V D-Mannose + Cranberry?

Made from natural, safe and simple ingredients, Happy V D-Mannose + Cranberry contains cranberry powder, vitamin C and D-Mannose. The proanthocyanidins in cranberries help prevent the bad bacteria that cause infections from sticking to the lining of the bladder and urinary tract. Vitamin C works similarly, reducing the risk of bad bacteria causing an infection.

D-mannose is a natural sugar that can alter the interior of the bladder so that things don’t stick to it quite so easily. This means that you’ll urinate bad bacteria out of your body before they can cause you problems. This product contains 500mg of D-mannose in each dose.

You can purchase Happy V D-Mannose + Cranberry in capsule form, but it’s also available as a powder.

The great thing about this product is that it doesn’t take very long for it to work. You’ve probably heard of drinking cranberry juice as a way to naturally treat a urinary infection. While this doesn’t work for everyone, it works really quickly when it does help. The convenient thing about this product from Happy V is that you don’t have to worry about drinking excessive amounts of cranberry juice, which tends to have a high sugar content. Also, the other ingredients (Vitamin C and D-Mannose) in this product help boost its potential.

Why I Wanted to Try It

I had enough of being diagnosed with urinary tract infections. I felt like every few months I was heading back to the doctor for help. The infections may have been recurring, but regardless, they were irritating. After taking antibiotics a couple of times, my gut health was suffering. I knew I was in need of something that would not only help me treat UTI’s from a more natural perspective, but that would also help prevent them.

I saw a social media ad for Happy V’s D-Mannose + Cranberry product and did a little more digging. Upon seeing that this was an extremely natural and safe supplement that really didn’t concern me at all, I purchased a bottle to try.

The Cost

One bottle of Happy V D-Mannose + Cranberry capsules cost $34.99 on Amazon (60 capsules). You can head over to the brand’s company website as well, where they also sell the same formula as a powder. The cost of that product is $29.99 for 15 servings.

The First Week

I should point out that I was not currently dealing with a urinary tract infection when I received Happy V’s D-Mannose + Cranberry supplement. However, I had just been getting over one and definitely felt like my urinary tract health wasn’t superior.

The goal of starting this product was to try to get back on track so I would experience fewer infections and symptoms overall.

When taking my first dose of Happy V capsules, I noticed the capsules didn’t taste that great. This is something reviews mention, so I knew there wasn’t anything wrong with the product.

If you’re trying to prevent urinary tract infections, you can take the powder or capsules every other day. Otherwise, you should take it daily during an active infection or if you’re symptomatic. You can also use it after sex if intercourse tends to put you at a higher risk of developing a UTI. I chose to take it every other day for the most part.

It was probably too early to tell if anything was happening, but I didn’t experience any urinary tract symptoms or issues during week one of taking Happy V D-Mannose + Vitamin C.

Week Two

Week two of taking Happy V D-Mannose + Vitamin C happened to fall during the time of the month when I experienced PMS. Because of the normal hormone fluctuations that occur during this time of a woman’s menstrual cycle, it’s not uncommon to be more susceptible to developing a UTI when you have PMS. I’m one of the lucky women who fall into this category.

I can say that I didn’t notice any kind of symptoms or shift in my urinary tract health during week two. I felt very healthy, had plenty of energy and was using the bathroom on a very normal rotation.

Week Three

By week three of taking D-Mannose + Vitamin C from Happy V, I still didn’t experience any UTI symptoms. I also didn’t notice any unwanted side effects from taking this supplement. The doses of each ingredient in this product have been selected based on scientific research, so you’re not taking mega-doses of anything that could lead to stomach upset or other issues.

The great thing about this product is that it contains a lot of beneficial antioxidants in each dose. We had a cold pass through the house during week three, and I didn’t get as sick as I normally would. That’s one additional benefit of this product that I love.

Week Four

Purchasing this product in capsule form has made it really easy to stay consistent with taking it. I can toss the bottle in my bag to take at work with breakfast, or I simply swallow my dose down when I head to the kitchen in the morning.

Week four came and went without any urinary tract issues. I will point out that Happy V advertises that you should be sure to drink plenty of water while using their product. This helps flush out any bad bacteria that do not need to be in your body. I had to make it a point to keep up with my water intake, but it wasn’t a huge deal. In fact, drinking more water is something I’ve been meaning to do anyway.

The Verdict

Since using Happy V D-Mannose + Vitamin C, I’ve been feeling great. I haven’t experienced a urinary tract infection. I think the increased water intake has definitely been helpful as well, but this is really a great supplement that can be beneficial in other ways. The antioxidant boost is always welcome during cold and flu season, when my kids are constantly bringing home new germs.

This product is really affordable. You can purchase it on the Happy V website, but it’s also conveniently available on Amazon. It doesn’t have to be taken every single day, which can save you some money and make it easier to stay consistent.

Who Should Try Happy V D-Mannose + Vitamin C
