I’ve found that there has been a definite shift in how my body looks and feels now that I’m getting older. Weight seems to sit on my body differently, and foods affect me in different ways. The things that I used to be able to eat with ease are now making me feel bloated, and I put on weight easier. I came across the Nushape Lipo Wrap and decided to give it a try. It’s a natural, drug-free product that advertises it can help reduce fat cells, cellulite, help you with muscle gain and more.
My Motivation to Try Nushape Lipo
I exercise regularly, and I pride myself on eating very healthy, but I’m experiencing some extra fat around my stomach and the middle region of my body. It’s been a challenge to try and get rid of it. I was doing some reading on social media about the various hormonal challenges that can make it difficult to manage a healthy weight at this point in my life, and I came across some information on phototherapy and weight loss wraps. This led me to discover Nushape’s product. I decided this could be a great product to help me lose 5 to 10 pounds over the next few months.
What Is the Nushape Lipo Wrap?
This medical spa belt uses red light therapy to perform multiple functions that aren’t just related to weight loss. The company advertises that regular use of this product can help with pain relief, anti-aging, muscle gains, decreased inflammation, thyroid health and more. The product wraps around your abdomen, and you wear it for 20 minutes at a time, no more than three times per day.
My First Opinion
I wasn’t sure what to expect once I ordered my Nushape Lipo Wrap and waited for it to arrive. I thought this would simply be another compression product that would maybe help me decrease some of my bloating and shed a few pounds. Once I received the Nushape Lipo Wrap, I discovered that there are certain guidelines that you have to follow.
In addition to wearing the wrap for 20 minutes at a time, a maximum of three times per day, you have to drink two glasses of water every hour for the entire day of the treatment. This resulted in some frequent trips to the bathroom, which wasn’t something I expected. You also can’t eat for 30 minutes before you put the wrap on; you have to follow up your treatment with 15 to 20 minutes of exercise, and there’s more water that comes after that. You also can’t eat for 30 minutes after your treatment, so there’s a lot of planning that goes into using this product.
My 60-Day Experience
The First 10 Days
There was a definite learning curve that, I would say, took me about 10 days to get used to. I had to plan ahead to make sure I knew when to eat, when to drink, and how long to wear the wrap. Then, I had to make sure that I could get a quick workout after wearing it. I eventually developed a routine that worked around all of my other obligations for the day.
The Nushape wrap itself is pretty comfortable, though it does feel a little stiff at times. Its design resembles a back brace (if you’ve ever worn one), and it definitely makes you hold your posture a bit better than you’re used to. There isn’t any sound that comes from the unit, and there’s no heat to worry about. I did have to pay attention to the power pack that’s hooked to the back of the unit to make sure it didn’t fall out during a treatment.
Days 10 Through 25
I don’t usually have a problem keeping up with a new exercise or wellness routine, and this wasn’t much different. I will say that there’s probably a number of people who end up skipping days because of the guidelines you have to follow. It’s easy to be thrown off by a busy schedule.
Upon looking in the mirror during this phase of my treatments, I definitely noticed that my stomach looked a little less bloated. I’m prone to water retention in the evenings, but I didn’t notice much of that anymore. I didn’t feel like there was a lot of fat loss to take note of, but I decided to stay consistent anyway.
I didn’t take note of any cognitive benefits or anything like that. Also, my skin in that area of the body doesn’t experience any sensitivities or issues, so there wasn’t much to take note of in that regard.
Days 25 Through 45
They say it can take two months to develop a new habit, but days 25 through 45 really became routine for me. I worked one treatment into my morning before I would eat breakfast. I usually start my mornings with yoga, so I did a treatment, did a quick workout, did a yoga session and then made my breakfast. My evening routine was similar, with a treatment after dinnertime. My afternoon treatment wasn’t always consistent because I felt like getting that third treatment into my schedule was difficult.
I recently had my thyroid function checked by my doctor, as I am experiencing some signs of perimenopause that can be similar to those experienced with thyroid issues. My numbers were within normal limits, but my doctor mentioned it was something we needed to watch because of the symptoms I was experiencing (anxiety, fatigue, trouble regulating my temperature, etc.). Nushape claims that their lipo wrap can support thyroid health, so I was intrigued to see if I would notice any difference.
I actually found that I was sleeping better, which helped me feel less fatigued. I also experienced better temperature regulation. I haven’t spoken with my doctor or had testing repeated, so I can’t say for sure if this product is positively affecting my thyroid health, but it’s interesting to think it may be.
Days 45 Through 60
By the end of my first 60 days of using the Nushape Lipo Wrap, I was pleasantly surprised with what I experienced. I don’t know how much of the results come from the wrap itself or the increased water / exercise that comes with each treatment, but I definitely looked more slender and felt better about myself.
The majority of the results that I noticed from using this product for 60 days have to do with my physical appearance. I wouldn’t be comfortable saying that this product was transformative for anything like cognitive health, thyroid function, etc. I don’t experience nerve pain or arthritis, but some of the reviews of this product claim that other people have found a positive outcome for these symptoms when using Nushape Lipo.
The Cost
This is definitely an expensive product to try out. The Nushape Lipo Med Spa Wrap currently retails for $499. You can break the cost into payments if that works better for your budget. It’s a product I definitely found to be effective, and I think it’s worth the investment if you feel like this would be a product you could stay consistent with.
Consider the features that you get for the price point that you’re paying. The Nushape Lipo Wrap provides red light therapy to a large area of your body. It’s a comfortable product that can be taken on-the-go with you, whether you’re headed to work, traveling, etc.
There is only a 14-day return window if you don’t like this product, which definitely isn’t long enough to see if it’s going to work for you.
Other Devices I Considered
The Megelin LED Red Infrared Light Therapy Belt
When discounted, this product is a more affordable option (currently $269). It uses medical-grade infrared and red light therapy to promote cellular recovery, decrease inflammation, increase circulation and decrease muscle pain.
What Waist Miracle Wrap Band
For under $100, the What Waist Miracle Wrap provides you with adjustable compression that has the potential to help you improve your posture, slim your waistline, decrease inflammation and more.
My Verdict on the Nushape Lipo Wrap
The Nushape Lipo Wrap uses proven technology to provide relatively fast results. As long as you follow the guidelines provided by the company, you should see results in the time frame that I experienced.
I love that this is a natural and safe method of boosting your weight loss results, and it works easily with a healthy diet, exercise, etc.
